Following reported incidents at our Capital Premier League team’s fixture with Lower Hutt AFC on August 9 2014, we advise club members that we are continuing with ongoing enquiries into events that occurred on that day.
As a club we pride ourselves on our conduct and respect the principles of healthy competition and we do not condone the use of any illegal aggression in our sport.
Stop Out fully supports Capital Football’s continued efforts to improve player behaviour on and off the pitch and the improvement of refereeing standards.
As a club we have not responded to the press. There has been a lot of misinformation and innuendo that has surfaced and it would be unprofessional for us to comment. We have therefore respected the official process as managed through Capital Football.
We can also confirm receipt of Capital Football’s decision on sanctions imposed on Joe Gaughan. The Club is continuing discussions with Capital Football on this issue. We are also in discussion on whether to appeal the Capital Football decision.
We also make a commitment to all Stop Out members that as the club’s leaders we will do everything we can to make sure these types of situations do not occur in the future.
