Gear
Having the appropriate equipment is crucial for effective training. Comfort should be the number one priority for goalkeeper apparel when thinking about training.
  • Gloves
The most fundamental gear for a goalkeeper – Players are encouraged to have their own pair but Stop Out will provide players a pair each session if they do not own any.

  • Clothing
Goalies tend to hit the ground a lot, diving to make saves or claim the ball, which can have an impact on their bodies.
Training Shirt – Whether it is long-sleeve or short-sleeve, the important thing is that players feel comfortable in it
Training pants/shorts – Again, player preference if they wear shorts or longs pants.
Compression clothing – recommended to keep players warm during the cold.

  • Football Boots

Cost
The first two weeks of the 1919 Goalkeepers Skills Centre will be free for players to try it out. If your player wishes to continue, the remainder of the Term will cost $30. You will be invoiced upon confirmation that your child will continue the programme. If you wish to discuss payment plans, please email treasurer@stopout.org.nz
